Daisy Mumby (BVF funded athlete) has been successful in her application to be part of a impressive social impact programme, designed to test and strengthened beliefs and guide them to make a wider positive social impact.
Part of UK Sport’s 2021- 2031 mission to create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments is the ambition to inspire positive change. Within this ambition lies the process of empowering funded athletes to have greater ownership of how they can use their platform and voice to power positive change.
Through our athlete spotlight series, we have seen the importance of our athletes standing up for their beliefs and making a difference in the work they do. Through this UK Sport project, Daisy will be able to take this a step further. With guided support from UK Sport and the True Athlete Project, Daisy will work through a series of workshops and challenges to drive her own project of change.
The True Athlete Project (TAP) is a UK charity that aims to build a more compassionate world through sport. Our team of athletes, coaches, sport psychologists and mindfulness teachers design and deliver a range of creative, holistic, mindfulness-based programs at all levels of sport – from community sport centres through to Olympians and Paralympians across 40+sports.
